Pierre Girard is the driving force behind the scientific dynamic that structures Les Morilleurs. As President of Ceramyca, he dedicates most of his work to fundamental research applied to morels: understanding microbial balances, exploring strains, optimizing substrates, and studying the interactions between mycelium and the environment. His approach goes beyond mere production—it aims to gain a deep understanding of the biological mechanisms involved in order to develop more reliable and reproducible cultivation systems.

In the field, Pierre manages experimental plots where every parameter is observed, tested, and adjusted. These pilot sites serve as open-air laboratories: soil analysis, bacterial inoculation, vernalization strategies, and precise monitoring of fruiting. This continuous immersion in experimentation allows him to transform research into concrete protocols, directly applicable to the growers he supports.

Convinced that knowledge must circulate to advance the industry, Pierre is also developing a microlearning format distributed on social media. Through short, accessible educational videos, he shares feedback, field observations, and scientific explanations. His ambition is clear: to democratize specialized expertise without simplifying its rigor, and to help shape a new generation of demanding and informed producers.
